The regulations aim to avoid overcharging during the Da Nang International Fireworks Competition (DIFC 2015) being held on 28 and 29 April, the National Reunification Day on 30 April, and May Day on 1 May.

Local accommodation providers will be not allowed to increase their room rates by more than 50% above normal.

Meanwhile, local food and drink providers will be asked to keep their service prices unchanged. 
Also under the regulations, local taxi, bus and boat service providers will have to present their fares to local relevant agencies soon.

Parking fees for bicycles and motorbikes will be set at 2,000 VND and 5,000 VND respectively, whilst between 30,000 VND and 70,000 VND can be collected for each parked car, depending on the size of the vehicle.

Local accommodation and food and drink providers are being asked to display their prices for normal days, and those for the festive period, in their reception areas in order to avoid confusing their customers.  In addition, the hotlines of some local relevant management agencies are being publicly displayed at these venues so that customers can contact them if necessary.

As of 6 March, nearly 80% of the city’s accommodation establishments had presented their room rates for the upcoming DIFC 2015 festival to the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
